President of HomeLife Atlantic Receives Community Volunteer Award.

Team HomeLife Atlantic, is very proud of and would like to congratulate Francis MacDonald, President, for being a recipient of the Halifax Mainland North Champion Award.    This award is presented to individuals in appreciation of their “dedication, outstanding volunteerism and valuable contribution” to their community.

Francis has always been an active member and contributor to the community on a personal and professional basis.   When his children were younger, he coached his son’s hockey team, The Halifax Hawks, and was actively involved in Scouts Canada.   He had a large involvement with construction development of Halifax West High School, served as past president of the Halifax Clayton Park Liberal Association and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.    Francis was co-chair of the Build it Right Committee, which was instrumented in obtaining a full size pool in the now Canada Games Centre.

Since 2008 to present, his company has raised over $30 000 for Feed Nova Scotia.   In addition, for several years now, a weekly 50/50 draw is held which sponsors an average of four families in need each Christmas.

Francis’ core values are practiced in and out of the office.  He believes that working together we can help to build a stronger community.   We at team HomeLife Atlantic fully support him with these goals, and look forward to continuing and expanding our community involvement and will strive to achieve our corporate goal “No Family Left Hungry.”
